As you have hopefully heard, we are assembling a formers chorus to sing 3 songs for the Century Singers 40th Year Anniversary Concert April 29, 2011 in Rudder Auditorium.

The concert begins at 7:30 PM, we will rehearse as a group at 4 PM and eat together before the concert.

We will also be holding a Saturday brunch the morning after the concert to eat, meet, and discuss upcoming events for next year.

Please Register Now so we can save you a place on the risers and send you the music. The cost is $35, which covers music and food for the weekend, and a commemorative t-shirt. You can make a payment on our website, or mail a check to the Choral Activities Office. If you do mail a check, please RSVP to the AFCS Board by email at centurysingers@gmail.com so we can get an accurate headcount.

Even if you don’t have availability to sing with us, we’d love for you to come out and enjoy the concert – including the world premiere of “Sunrise” by Ola Gjeillo – which the AFCS has commissioned to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the New Tradition/Century Singers.

40th Anniversary Concert April 29

The Century Singers 40th Anniversary Concert will be Friday, April 29 at 7:30 PM in Rudder Auditorium. We are also working on assembling a formers chorus to sing a few songs at the concert.

Tentative schedule is:

Friday afternoon rehearsal of former’s chorus
Pre concert quick dinner for former’s
Concert at 7:30
Brunch and formers meeting Saturday morning
Saturday afternoon campus tour

Bylaws & New Officers!

The Association of Former Century Singers had our official Spring meeting on April 23. We accepted new bylaws and elected a new officer board! Thanks everyone for coming out!

Spring Concert April 23 with former’s meeting following!

Reminder that the Century Singers Spring concert is in Rudder Auditorium 4/23 at 7:30 PM.

The night’s diverse concert will feature songs by composers representing each letter of the alphabet.

Tickets are on sale at the Rudder Box Office for $5.

After the concert will be a meeting of all Century Singers Formers in Rudder 401 to discussed proposed bylaws changes, so be sure to stay after for refreshments and the meeting!
